We are hosting our first ever international sisters safari to Turkey. A womens’ only trip bringing together like-minded travellers to explore the beautiful Istanbul and Cappadocia.

A unique women-only halal group trip for travelers who want to gain authentic travel experiences and explore new destinations and cultures while traveling responsibly and contributing to sustainable tourism. Itineraries

Day 1

Date : May 12, 2022

ARRIVAL IN ISTANBUL & DEPARTURE TO CAPPADOCIA

We will welcome you to Istanbul at the airport and catch our flights to Cappadocia. Once in Cappadocia, we will transfer to Cappadoccia Cave Hotel where we will be staying and where you can have dinner and rest.

Day 2

Date : May 13, 2022

CAPPADOCIA

We highly recommend waking up early to see the hot air balloons from the hotel rooftop. For those who will be going for the hot air balloon ride, you shall be picked up from the hotel in the morning for the activity (extra cost of $75/pax for the balloon ride, this is optional since from experience most clients prefer to take photos with the balloons in the background rather than get on the balloon itself). After the balloon rides, we will have the famous Turkish breakfast at the hotel and then head out for the tour of the Göreme open-air museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This outdoor museum has remains of rock-cut churches that were carved into the hills of Cappadocia. After the museum tour, we will have a quick stop for lunch and you will have time to explore the town. For those who would like to join in on the optional self-drive ATV tour or horseriding tour of the valleys of Cappadocia, we shall meet at 3.30 pm. You will then have a free evening to explore the stunning Göreme town. Meals included: Breakfast Advice: Wear comfortable shoes and have some water with you as this is an open-air museum

Day 3

Date : May 14, 2022

CAPPADOCIA AND RETURN TO ISTANBUL

Wake up early to watch the launch of hot air balloons from the rooftop of the hotel, have breakfast. We will take our airport transfer for our flight back to Istanbul we will check in to our Istanbul hotel located on the famous Istiklal Street. Feel free to explore the astounding Istiklal street by night as it is lined with restaurants, shops and live music.

Day 4

Date : May 15, 2022

ISTANBUL

Breakfast at the hotel. We will then meet at 10 am to ride the second oldest subway in the world, followed by a tour of the Spice Bazaar and the Bosphorus. For those interested in visiting the grave of Ayub Al Ansari and ridding a cable car overlooking the Golden Horn an advanced arrangements can be made. We will check-in again into Richmond Istanbul Hotel. Meals included: Breakfast Advice: Wear comfortable shoes as Istanbul is a walking city

Day 5

Date : May 16, 2022

HISTORIC ISTANBUL

Breakfast at the hotel. We will then meet at 10 am for a tour of the old city of Istanbul. This includes the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, The Basilica Cistern, and the Grand Bazaar. Meals included: Breakfast Advice: Wear comfortable shoes as Istanbul is a walking city

Day 6

Date : May 17, 2022

SHOPPING IN ISTANBUL

We will have breakfast at the hotel. You will have a free day to explore Istanbul at your own leisure, with an optional visit to the Asian side of Istanbul in the afternoon so as to catch the sunset by the maiden tower. In the evening we go on a ferry tour of the Bosphorus. The strait in which Asia meets Europe. Optional: Dinner at Salt Bae’s restaurant Meals included: Breakfast Note: For those travelling the next day and need a COVID text, a COVID test will be scheduled for the day so you should plan accordingly.

Day 7

Date : May 18, 2022

DEPARTURE

We will spend one last morning together as a group and say our farewells. We will then check out of the hotel by 10 am as we await our flight departure time to transfer to the airport. Meals included: Breakfast

Our trips are targeted to help both Muslims and non-Muslims visit Islamic heritage sites and create an appreciation through all faiths for the history, heritage, and nature in the beautiful continent of Africa. Our trips interact with local communities of all faiths and backgrounds and are open to all guests who share our values. The key ethos that unites our travelers is modest travel, alcohol-free and family-friendly activities, an appreciation for sustainable tourism, gaining of knowledge on Islamic history, and a general sense of social responsibility.

Halal Safaris includes our basic requirements of providing halal food, avoiding Islamic taboos and places where there lewd behaviour might be prevalent such as nightclubs, bars and casinos, making arrangements for making prayers during safari, and working closely with facilities to educate them on how to be ethical and sensitive to the needs of each traveller.

We offer three types of halal packages:

1. A Halal Facility package means the facility that we book your trip at has halal food, prayer services and facilities, bidet/water vessel in toilet, private pool/beach, no Islamic taboos such as alcohol, casinos and night clubs, and having recreational services that abide by Islamic teachings.

2. We also offer the Halal Service for people who don’t want use of recreational facilities or a private pool. The need for these travelers are mainly halal food, a prayer place and service, and not having recreational activities that are against Islamic teachings.

3. The last is Muslim-friendly basic package where the basic need is halal food and having no nightclub or casino in the facility.

On receipt 50% deposit, we will, subject to availability, reserve your place on your selected itinerary by the set deadline. Once you pay your full booking invoice dues, your reservation is confirmed and accepted by us. On receipt of your full payment, we will send, detailed final itinerary, safari information, packing lists, etc no later than one week before departure. Please ensure that you receive the information before you leave.

Cancellations or amendments of Bookings must be received by Halal Safaris Africa in writing/per email to info@halalsafaris.africa to be effective. In the event of cancellation or amendment of a Booking after Confirmation by you the following policy will apply for Halal Safari organized Islamic heritage and group trips:
• Cancellation up to 60 days prior to arrival – 50% is refundable
• Cancellation up to 30 days prior to arrival – 25% is refundable
• Less than 30 days prior to arrival – 100% of the invoice amount will be due and payable and no refunds will be made in case of late arrival or no show

We have no upper age limits in our trips but minimum age requirement to travel alone is 18 years. Children between 15-17 years old may attend if accompanied by a guardian.
